The family members and relatives of a woman who was declared dead by the doctor were shocked when they saw her breathing inside the coffin.
Bella Montoya, 76, of Ecuador, was pronounced dead last week. Her relatives said they had placed her inside the coffin for several hours for people to pay their last respects. She began to breathe heavily and people gathered around her in amazement. The doctors took him on a stretcher and returned him to the hospital, in intensive care, while the Ministry of Health of Ecuador has created a committee to investigate the incident.
She had earlier ended up in the hospital after a cardio-respiratory arrest and did not respond to attempts to revive her. The attending physician then confirmed her death.
