Elections 2023: what is voted in Salta
On May 14, the people of Salta will elect a governor and lieutenant governor, 11 provincial senators, 30 provincial deputies, 60 mayors, and 343 councilors.
The electoral campaign will last until May 12 at 8, which will give way to the ban 48 hours before the electoral act.
That day, a total of 12 formulas will compete for the Governor of Salta.
The Entre Todos front, made up of the Igualar, Frente Grande, Patria Grande and various municipal groups, nominates the former vice-governor and current senator Walter Wayar, accompanied on the formula by the leader of Oran, Iván Mizzau.
The Salta para Todos front, made up of the People’s Labor Party, Kolina, Nuevo Encuentro and the Solidarity Party, nominates national deputy Verónica Caliva, accompanied by Alejandro Gravanago; while the Salta front goes with Felicidad, made up of the Felicidad party and the municipal group Socialist Unity of Salvador Mazza goes with Mauro Sabbadini and Jimena Loayza.
Let’s move forward, from the parties Ahora Patria, Si-Salta Independiente, Movimiento Popular Unido; Victory Party; Party of Culture, Education and Work (CET); Salta Somos Todos and from various municipal groups, proposes the national deputy Emiliano Estrada and his partner from the Olmedista Ahora Patria block – a member of the Juntos por el Cambio (Jxc) interblock -, Carlos Zapata.
Meanwhile, the Salta Avanza con vos front, made up of the Unión Victoria Popular party, the Movimiento Unido Quebrachaleño municipal group, the Faro Organized Regional Alternative Federal Party and the Dignity and Work municipal group, postulates the duo of former Urtubeicista official Lucio Paz Posse and Lorraine Farjat.
For its part, the Left Front and Workers-Unity, of the Partido Obrero and the Social Movement of Workers, postulates former provincial deputy Claudio del Plá and Lorena Hidalgo as governor and vice candidates, respectively.
For its part, Política Obrera presented the formula formed by Violeta Gil and Ángel Tolaba; the Party of Workers for Socialism registered Daniela Planes as a candidate for governor and Verónica Tejerina as a vice candidate; and the Popular Union party leads the duo of Daniel Escotorín and Patricia Caliva.
