The son of picketer Emerenciano Sena, charged with femicide, is being held in a cell at a police station located outside of Resistencia.
Seventeen days after the disappearance of Cecilia Strzyzowski, the first photos of her husband, César Sena, detained at a Resistencia police station, were released on Tuesday.
In the images, viralized by an account that demands justice for the young woman who has disappeared since June 1, Sena is seen sitting behind bars with a black and white jumpsuit. The 19-year-old man is accused of being a co-perpetrator of the crime of “homicide triply aggravated by the bond, by the premeditated competition of two or more people and for having been carried out in a context of gender violence (femicide).”
At first, César Sena was detained in the 3rd section. of Resistance. However, on Monday he was transferred to another facility. In the first instance, he was scheduled to go to the La Verde police station, on the outskirts of the capital of Chaco, but in the end they took him incognito to another police station in the capital.
The objective was to separate him from his father, the piquetero Emerenciano Sena (58), with strong ties to the Jorge Capitanich government and also charged with the disappearance and alleged femicide of Cecilia (28).

César’s mother and also a piquetero leader, Marcela Acuña (51), is also detained for the case.
There are four other detainees: Gustavo Melgarejo (the employee of the Emerenciano Sena y Acuña camp), Gustavo Obregón (driver for the Sena “clan”), Fabiana González (Obregón’s wife and family collaborator) and Griselda Reinoso (Melgarejo’s wife).
Five days ago, César Sena wrote a note to the prosecutor’s office from prison. “Mr. Prosecutor: I am César Sena. I am accused in this case and I found out because I heard that Díaz (his former lawyer) who was my defense lawyer and that of my entire family is appearing in all the media and is speaking horrible things about me “said the young man. And he concluded: “I’m afraid for myself and I hold this person responsible if something happens to me.”
According to the file that Clarín accessed, César Sena (before his arrest and after Cecilia’s disappearance) sent WhatsApp messages to his partner. “I can’t keep pretending that I’m with you in a false love story. Tell them the truth,” he said in one of those messages, contradicting his official testimony and with the sole purpose of diverting attention.

Cecilia’s relationship with César Sena and her mother-in-law Marcela Acuña
Cecilia and César married in September 2022. Three months later, they signed the divorce. As the woman’s mother explained in one of the protests demanding justice, it was Marcela Acuña who did not want her daughter.
In the last few hours, one of the lawyers for the victim’s family maintained that César’s mother and former candidate for mayor of Resistencia was the one who murdered Cecilia.
“For the prosecution, the murderer is César, but for us it would be Marcela (Acuña),” said the lawyer.

“There is something called computer autopsy in criminal investigation techniques, which allows us to have a profile of the person I am investigating from profiles on networks, forms of communication in digital format. And it turns out that the profile of Cecilia and the de César on Instagram and Facebook give an account of a young couple in love,” he added in dialogue with Radio Continental.
Meanwhile, in the last few hours, Emerenciano Sena testified for the first time before the team of prosecutors who are following the investigation. The patriarch of the “clan” spoke for 15 minutes, pleaded not guilty and his lawyer stated that they are going to “present new evidence”, at the beginning of the construction of his alibi.

Earlier this Tuesday, they found bones and a pendant in a place indicated by one of the defendants, who would have thus broken the pact of silence and would seek to detach himself from the case.
The findings were made after raking with tactical divers in the Tragadero River, located on the outskirts of the Emerenciano Sena pig farm. Now the experts will analyze whether the bone remains are human. Meanwhile, the hypothesis that the pendant would belong to Cecilia, who used to wear a pendant with a cross, is gaining strength.
The young woman was last seen by her family on June 1. A day later, at 9:15 a.m., she was seen entering the Sena house. She and her partner were going to travel to Ushuaia. She has been missing ever since.
