Footage of the release of three police officers kidnapped from Serbia is released.

Rifat Zeka, Beqir Sefi and Mustafa Shemi have arrived safely at the General Directorate of the Kosovo Police in Pristina.

The Kosovar authorities have received the three policemen released from custody in Serbia at the crossing point in Merdare to then transport them to Kosovo. On June 14, Prishtina accused Serbia of kidnapping the 3 policemen inside its territory, while Belgrade insisted that they had entered their territory. The calls of internationals, but also the intervention of Prime Minister Edi Rama, as sources in Brussels say, gave this result.

Before surrendering at the border, the three policemen appeared in front of the Royal Court, which decided that they should organize their own defense at large. While after arriving in Kosovo, the three policemen were received by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla. Sveçla has said that this case is fabricated and Serbia should be tried for its aggression.

The release of the three policemen seems to play a role in easing the recently created situation between Kosovo and Serbia after the tensions in the north, which reached their peak with the clashes at the end of May where 30 KFOR policemen were also injured.
