Banco Industrial Guatemala occupies the first position for its participation in assets amounting to USD$18 million 205 thousand 602, registering a loan portfolio of more than USD$9 million 600 thousand, which is a clear reflection of the impact it generates in the development of the region, promoting investment and economic dynamics. Simultaneously, the trust of Guatemalans in Banco Industrial is evidenced by more than USD$13,200,000. Guatemala is the second country with the most assets, with USD$61,966 million and a growth of 7.57%. It is also the second evaluated country that grants the most loans and the second country that handles the most deposits, consistent with the size of its economy and its economic indicators.

In 2022, Summa magazine evaluated 135 banking entities: 15 from Costa Rica, 17 from Guatemala, 8 from Nicaragua, 19 from El Salvador, 15 from Honduras, 45 from Panama and 16 from the Dominican Republic. It found that all these countries have accumulated assets estimated at USD$349,171 million.

Of the aforementioned number of banks in the region, the 20 largest by assets, including Banco Industrial, represent 61% of total assets, 57% of total loans and 60% of total deposits.

Banks and banking systems allow for an effective flow of funds, maintain financial safety nets, and ensure payment security. Access to banks is a determinant for the well-being of a country, allowing citizens and entrepreneurs to prosper by giving greater access to real estate, health care, education and boosting the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
