A mother in Australia went to pick up her 10-month-old baby at daycare, but was shocked to find him with 20 scratches on his face.
The mother, who immediately asked for an explanation from the staff, discovered that the scratches on her face were due to an accident. While changing the diaper, another child who was next to him, scratched his face.
Noah’s parents were horrified and angry when they saw their son in that condition.
“We burst into tears. We could not believe that something so terrible would happen to our little boy”, they told the media.
The parents immediately took the boy to the hospital, and doctors suspected that he could not have been scratched so badly by another child in the nursery. They took care of the 10-month-old boy and told his parents that his wounds would heal soon and would not leave a mark. Noah’s father suspects violence.
“My husband says it was definitely not an accident and it was child abuse,” said the mother.
The kindergarten has apologized to the parents, but they are demanding compensation. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine if it was truly an accident or foul play.
