A 42-year-old man wanted to sexually abuse an 18-year-old girl in a house and the young woman’s screams alerted the neighbors, who entered the house and shot the attacker. It happened in Las Heras, in Mendoza.
Now the judiciary is investigating who was responsible for the murder of the convicted man.
The violent incident occurred this Wednesday evening at around 9 p.m. in a low-income house in house 15 of Block A in the Álvarez Condarco neighborhood in the city of Mendoza. Less than 10 kilometers from the provincial capital.
Police sources confirmed that Diego Carlos Rosales Pereyra was murdered by local residents with two gunshot wounds to the chest.
Police were alerted after an emergency call to 911 and when they arrived at the home they found a man lying on the ground injured by a gunshot. An 18-year-old girl who was in shock was also at the scene of the accident.
Since the man was initially still alive, a Coordinated Emergency Service (SEC) ambulance took him to the central hospital ward.

At the hospital, he was found to have two gunshot wounds with one entry hole and no exit hole in the chest. These injuries were fatal: he died shortly before midnight, as the Los Andes newspaper confirmed.
Meanwhile, investigators questioned the young woman.
According to her statement, Pereyra was known to her and had invited her to the house. They drank alcohol until the man forced her to go to her room and tried to abuse her. At that moment the young woman screamed for help.
The screams were heard by some neighbors who came to her aid. They broke into Pereyra’s house, who managed to escape into the street. There he was attacked with bullets.
It has not yet been possible to determine who the shooter was. And in these hours they continue to collect witness statements to solve the case.
The case is being investigated by employees of the Tax Office 6 of Las Heras.
