With Boca’s steering wheel truck, they crashed and robbed the former scorer in Ituzaingó. They arrested a suspect in Moreno and raided a junkyard.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in the town of Moreno: he is accused of being part of the gang that assaulted Cristian Medina, a Boca en Castelar footballer, on Tuesday night. In addition, a junkyard was raided where several stolen vehicles were recovered.

With the progress of the investigation, a curious coincidence could be determined: minutes after attacking the Boca player, the same gang assaulted a historic Ascenso football reference. It is that the criminal raid that started on Tuesday at the door of the house in Medina, concluded with the theft of another high-end vehicle, the BMW X6, owned by former striker Carlos Alberto “El Beto” Yaqué.

The arrest this Thursday was made after a series of raids ordered by prosecutor Matías Rappazzo, of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 7 of the Morón Judicial Department.

The man who was arrested is Andrés Sendros and was arrested in a house located on Morón street, in Moreno. At the scene, the troops seized six cell phones that will be examined in the coming days, according to a police source.

The investigation of the case yielded another discovery: a junkyard, located at 200 Camino de la Ribera, also in the town of Moreno.

From there, a Toyota Hilux that had been stolen on April 18 was seized; a Volkswagen Gol stolen on April 22; another Gol Trend stolen on May 14 of last year and a motorcycle stolen on February 1, 2023.

Prosecutor Rappazzo ordered the seizure of all the vehicles and items found in the area and issued an arrest warrant for an alleged Sendros accomplice who was intensively sought by the Police this Thursday.

The robbery of Medina and Yaqué

The robbery of Cristian Medina occurred this Tuesday after 10 p.m., at the door of the midfielder’s house on the corner of Italia and Islas Malvinas streets, in Castelar Norte, where the footballer was returning in his truck (a Volkswagen Amarok) with his girlfriend. .

When the driver of the Xeneize arrived, he was surprised by three criminals who crossed a gray Ford Focus in front of his truck: two of the members got out armed to intimidate him.

The thieves intimidated him with firearms and forced them to get out of the Amarok: they took the vehicle and the footballer’s and his girlfriend’s belongings.

With the Boca midfielder’s 4×4 in their possession, the gang committed another car theft in the San Alberto neighborhood, in Ituzaingó.

There, they collided with the back of another high-end truck, a BMW X6, owned by the former striker from Almagro, Argentinos and Huracán, who managed to chase them a few blocks after the road riot. Yaqué was accompanied by his wife and one of his sons.

The criminals, tired of the persecution, stopped and also ended up robbing the former soccer player of the Ascent. This second robbery occurred at the intersection of Intendente Ratti Avenue and West Access.

Hours later, both stolen vehicles appeared abandoned in Paso del Rey, bordering Moreno.
