The Arizona Supreme Court is reviewing just one of seven claims in former GOP nominee Kari Lake’s lawsuit alleging inaccuracies in the state’s voting process after she lost her gubernatorial race in 2022.
Lake lost the election to now-Gov. Katie Hobbs with about 17,000 votes but is challenging the results in a lawsuit challenging the accuracy of the ballot printer and application of signature verification procedures in Maricopa County, Arizona.
In February, the Arizona Court of Appeals denied Lake’s request to throw out ballots and overturn the results of the 2022 election.
Lake’s arguments point to the difficulties on Election Day, but her request for an exemption fails because the evidence presented to the higher court ultimately supports the court’s conclusion that voters were able to cast their ballots, that the votes counted correctly and that there was no other reason to set it aside.

In the latest development Wednesday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that a lower court erred in rejecting Lake’s claim related to the signature verification process. On Twitter late Wednesday, Lake said the development was “HUGE.”
At that time, the Supreme Court declined to hear any of the other claims challenging the Arizona governor’s election results.

Despite losing her race in the 2022 midterm elections, Lake is rumored to have her eye on the Senate seat in 2024. However, in early March, the former news anchor revealed she is still determined to run for governor of Arizona.

“I am 100% committed to serving as governor of Arizona,” she told Fox News Digital. “I will also work to get President Trump back in the White House as soon as possible. Anything beyond those two goals is nothing but a distraction.”
“Our best days are ahead of us, and it all starts with choosing America First candidates across this country,” Lake added.

Reports have also emerged that former President Donald Trump considers Lake “strong” as his running mate for 2024, according to Axios.
