The Argentine urban music singer and composer Elian Ángel Valenzuela, known as L-Gante, was arrested this Tuesday, June 6 in the province of Buenos Aires after being accused of the “illegitimate deprivation of liberty” of a person, in a case that includes accusations of threats and illegal possession of a firearm.
As confirmed by sources from the Buenos Aires Police, the arrest of Valenzuela, 23 years old and who is called the “defendant”, took place during a police search in the private neighborhood Club Banco Provincia, in which the search for firearms was carried out. , ammunition and cell phones.
The Fiscal Unit 9 of the town of General Rodríguez is intervening in the case, within the framework of an open file, in which the alleged illegitimate deprivation of liberty of a man named Gastón Torres is being investigated.

For his part, the defender of L-Gante, Alejandro Cipolla, spoke to the same television channel while he went to the place of arrest.
“I’m getting to see what situation Elian is in. For now, the only thing I have are journalistic rumors that he is being detained,” said the lawyer, adding that, in the case of an arrest, it is “exaggerated due to the legal classification itself” and serves more “for political purposes than for another thing”.
As reported by the Clarín newspaper in its digital edition, the events investigated occurred last May at the exit of a bar, when the singer – who in the last three years has achieved great popularity with his songs and has had other problems with the law – He had a “crossover with a group of young people with whom he had some kind of anger.”
“According to the complaint, they were taken away threatened at gunpoint,” the newspaper said.
