Agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) captured this Wednesday, May 17, a woman and her son-in-law in a raid in a sector of zone 7 of the capital, who are accused of being part of the Salvatrucha gang and of selling drugs to the retail.

Investigators from the National Division Against the Criminal Development of Gangs (Dipanda) in coordination with prosecutors from the Public Ministry (MP) raided a property on 2nd street and 33rd avenue, house 5 of the Camino Verde residential complex, in zone 7 of the capital .

In that place, the capture of two people and the discovery of firearms, cash and possible drugs are reported.

The detainees were identified as Gladis Haydee Palacios Ambrosio, 50 years old; and his son-in-law Jonathan Rafael Martínez Muñoz, 29, from whom two firearms, nine hoppers, 118 ammunition of different calibers, a plate similar to those used by PNC agents, and six cell phones were seized.

It was reported that the two pistols have their respective documentation; In addition, the authorities found $1,550 Mexican pesos, €200, US$529 and Q5,948.64.

They were also located 64 “fangs” with possible cocaine and 11 bags with the same substance.

According to sources from the Ministry of the Interior, this operation was carried out in follow-up to cases of extortion and retail drug distribution in the sector.
