Sergio Daniel Benítez, 32, was attacked at close range by a man who has not yet been identified. Third crime in three days in the Gran Rosario.
Sergio Daniel Benítez, 32, was murdered this Friday around midnight in Villa Gobernador Gálvez when he was entering his house and a man shot him three times at close range.
The victim of the attack lived in a house located in José Ingenieros and Ecuador and, according to police sources cited by La Capital de Rosario, he was approached by at least one person who, after executing him, quickly escaped.
When Benítez’s relatives saw him wounded, they took him in a private car to the Anselmo Gamen Hospital, where he died as a result of impacts on his chest, left shoulder, and left leg.
Sergio was put in an uncle’s Renault 12 and transferred to Gamen, details the local media Rosario 3, which adds that the authorities did not find any used pods or items to be examined near the scene.
Investigators led by prosecutor Adrián Spelta sought to establish whether the victim was related to Raúl Benítez, the Villagalvense taxi driver murdered in the Tablada neighborhood on Thursday night, in an apparent retaliation against the company he worked for.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) is already working on inspecting the crime scene and taking testimonies from neighbors and people who can provide data of interest to the investigation. Also the survey of the video surveillance cameras of the place.
This is the third crime in the same number of days in the area of the city of Santa Fe known as “great Rosario.”
