The largest municipality in the country, Tirana is still counting votes, although Erion Veliaj has secured a third mandate.
Currently, 868 of the 941 centers in total have been counted, although the remaining 73 are not expected to overturn any result, since the candidate Veliaj, currently the mayor of Tirana, is 51,988 votes ahead of the candidate of the Meta-Berisha coalition, Belind Kelliçi.
“Together We Win” Kelliçi follows with 34.84% of the votes currently, followed by Roland Bejko of the Democratic Party with 4.27% of the votes, a big difference from his opponents.
Bejko is followed by Arlind Qori with 4.77% of votes, Lalja Përlaska with 0.73 and Marko Dajti with 0.97%.
The counting process is expected to be completed by the early hours of the morning, although candidate Veliaj, who will lead Tirana for the next four years, does not discuss the victory.
