One of the privates who was injured awaiting medical attention said through tears: “They just arrived, they opened in one go”, in reference to what he experienced during the brawl.

THIS IS HOW THE BRUG HAPPENED

According to preliminary information, the brawl was between the inmates of the Mara Salvatrucha and the Barrio 18 gang.

Supposedly, the gang members locked up the rival women and set fire to the modules with them inside. Witnesses affirm that cries of despair were heard and that the trapped inmates tried to climb the walls to save themselves.

A large number of those deprived of liberty in Cefas belong to the north of the country.
