Reuters beat the world by reporting that former US President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to federal criminal charges that he illegally kept national security documents when he left office and lied to officials trying to get them back. Despite fierce competition and a court order prohibiting the use of electronics, Reuters was able to get the news to customers sooner than anyone else by using an open phone line from the building.
