Trump had spent Tuesday in the Miami courthouse pleading not guilty to federal criminal charges that he stole classified military secrets from his Palm Beach club and interfered with government efforts to recover sensitive documents.

Trump faces 37 felony charges: 31 counts for intentionally withholding national security records and six counts for allegedly obstructing federal efforts to recover those records.

Following his arraignment, Trump returned with his team of advisers and lawyers to his golf club in Bedminster, NJ, where he addressed a crowd of supporters, some of whom flew halfway across the country in an instant to boost Trump.

Backers to Trump’s fundraiser, who paid at least $1,000 to be there, were ushered into the club after the comments for the rest of the program. Earlier, Ric Grenell, Trump’s former acting director of national intelligence, addressed the crowd inside. Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancé, also attended the event and spoke with donors.
