An unlawful migrant, who was taken into custody following a barricade taking pictures incident in North Carolina, was allegedly discovered to be on a terrorist watch listing and had been dwelling within the space for six months.

Based on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), 32-year-old Awet Hagos is a citizen of Eritrea, a small nation on the coast of Northeast Africa.

Immigration officers stated that Hagos entered the U.S. illegally after residing in Haiti and had been dwelling in North Carolina for the final six months.

Gates County Sheriff’s Workplace stated that they had been first alerted to Hagos when a barricade incident unfolded at a Fast Cease gasoline station.

Police stated that on Monday, March 11, at roughly 6:40 p.m., deputies responded to studies of gunfire.

Native authorities, together with the North Carolina State Freeway Patrol, tried to take Hagos into custody, however he grew to become “extraordinarily combative” and tried to disarm a deputy of their firearm.

Hagos was finally safely taken into custody and charged with three counts of assault on a authorities official, three counts of resisting a public officer, and one rely of carrying a hid weapon.
