For the sunflower complex, the equilibrium volumes were set at: Sunflower seed, 145 thousand tons; sunflower oil, 1.1 million tons; sunflower meal, 1.15 million tons.

Thus, according to the calculations of Ariel Tejera, an analyst at the Grassi brokerage, some US$3.3 billion in corn exports could enter. “By increasing the balance volume of corn by 6 million tons, this would represent an additional income of foreign currency of 1,300 million dollars, compared to what had been projected with a balance volume of 20 million tons,” he told Clarín Rural.

It should be remembered that the Government had projected some US$ 2,000 million, but with a limit to export of 20 million tons.
