And it established new equilibrium volumes: for Maize, the Equilibrium Volume was set at 26 million tons; for sorghum, 950 thousand tons; for feed barley, at 2.6 million tons; for beer barley, 950 thousand tons; and for malt, 550 thousand tons.
For the sunflower complex, the equilibrium volumes were set at: Sunflower seed, 145 thousand tons; sunflower oil, 1.1 million tons; sunflower meal, 1.15 million tons.

Thus, according to the calculations of Ariel Tejera, an analyst at the Grassi brokerage, some US$3.3 billion in corn exports could enter. “By increasing the balance volume of corn by 6 million tons, this would represent an additional income of foreign currency of 1,300 million dollars, compared to what had been projected with a balance volume of 20 million tons,” he told Clarín Rural.
It should be remembered that the Government had projected some US$ 2,000 million, but with a limit to export of 20 million tons.
In addition, the norm clarified that the Undersecretary of Agricultural Markets of the Secretary of Agriculture, may issue the complementary and clarifying norms that are necessary for the implementation of the measure, as well as future adjustments that are essential to maintain the normal flow of the export operation of agricultural products included within the regime of Law No. 21,453.

“There are transitory measures that can be more or less pleasant, questionable, but it has to do with the reality of the moment and cannot be analyzed as a long-term view of the sector without taking the situation into account,” he said during his presentation at La Rural.
“No one can be unaware of the moment, that the program with the Fund and the drought impose, and that requires that the work that we have been doing of context measures have to do with taking care of the Argentine macroeconomy and taking care of the productive sector that is so important,” he added.
In this line, he highlighted that during the eleven months of management at the head of the Palacio de Hacienda, he faced difficulties with dialogue with the sector and without the need to generate fights or discussions.
“This has to do with a personal and team conviction, Juanjo (Bahillo) and Julián (Domínguez) the former minister accompany me, understanding that dialogue and coordinated work is essential,” he said.
