A civilian plane that violated restricted airspace in Delaware Saturday afternoon prompted fighter jets to scramble as a result of the president was at his residence in Wilmington, Anthony Guglielmi, Chief of Communications for the US Secret Service, stated.
“Shortly after 2 p.m., a civilian plane violated restricted airspace north of Wilmington, Delaware,” Guglielmi stated.
He stated the fighter jets had been scrambled “as a precaution” and the civilian plane landed safely at a close-by airport.
Guglielmi added that the president’s actions weren’t impacted.

Brokers from the Secret Service and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident.
