KUALA LUMPUR – Many Malaysians studying abroad may find themselves unable to afford their education costs after the ringgit shrunk against a basket of currency this year, leaving their parents in a financial dilemma.

The ringgit is down 6.2 percent since the start of the year, closing at RM4.6588 against the dollar on Friday.
