The trade started after Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., slammed Democrats for inviting former Rudy Giuliani affiliate Lev Parnas as their witness, referencing his previous legal convictions, and asking GOP witness Tony Bobulinski for his response.
“I feel it is laughable that the Democrats are asking Lev Parnas to weigh in on my credibility. A convicted felon, who served jail time. I’ve an impeccable document,” Bobulinski stated.

Bobulinski added that Parnas “warned” him earlier within the listening to that Democrats had been coming after him, to which Parnas responded, “I did not warn you. I stated simply maintain speaking, you will be there quickly.”

Then two continued going backwards and forwards till Parnas turned on Gaetz and criticized him for not asking him a direct query, to which Gaetz responded that he did ask him about his “unlawful enterprise dealings” earlier within the listening to.
