“I had ‘pray-away-the-gay’ parents who thought my school was ‘teaching their kid to be gay’ because some of our teachers were gay. They also thought I was deeply religious (because they wanted to believe it) , and thus “on their side.” Wrong on both counts. They came to the conclusion after I said I thought it was important for parents to teach their children a strong moral code. I said their irrational beliefs don’t make a strong moral code.”
