A six-year-old boy was injured this Saturday morning after a man fired a gun following an argument with his father. The starting point of the conflict was an amateur football match that had taken place less than a week earlier. It happened in Castelar, Morón district. The baby was treated and is recovering out of danger. The attacker is arrested.
To understand the origin of the brutal attack, we have to go back four days, to Tuesday evening at the El Toque court in Ituzaingó. There, in the midst of a dispute over an amateur game, a heated discussion arose between several residents of the San Juan neighborhood in Castelar Sur about a particular move in the game.
The protagonists include Fernando Martín Hormaza (father of the minor) and the attacker Federico Nicolás F., neighbor of the neighborhood. It appeared that the tough discussion in the courtroom that Tuesday evening was over. But not.
This Saturday, after noon, while Hormaza was returning home in his Fiat Siena accompanied by his son, he was brutally run over by another car, a BMW, which made a U-turn to pursue him for a few blocks. It happened on José Miró Street, at the corner of Gervasio Pavón.
After crossing the BMW and shouting “I will kill you,” the attacker got out of his vehicle with a gun in his hand and shot Hormaza almost point-blank.
Despite the shot, only fragments of bullets grazed the right eyebrow of the boy, who remained motionless in the passenger seat of the car. The shot hit his glass and miraculously missed the boy.
After the violent scene, the boy was transferred to the René Favaloro Hospital in Rafael Castillo, where, according to the official report, it was reported that he suffered “a superficial wound on the right eyebrow from part of the projectile.”

“He got out with a revolver in his hand, insulted me and shouted ‘I’m going to kill you’, walked in front of my car and started shooting. It’s crazy because we’ve known each other our whole lives. We.” “I grew up together in the neighborhood,” said complainant Hormaza.
In an interview with the TN channel, the minor’s father said that “he was present at the game but did not take part in the discussion that arose. That he was a spectator.”
“When he arrived there was an argument from the previous game and two neighborhood kids were hitting each other. They fought and then each went their own way. I never had the opportunity to argue with him,” he said.
Hormaza said he was “concerned for his safety” as the inmate could leave at any moment. “He has connections with the police here because he is a mechanic and repairs their cell phones. I just want to tell you that they bypassed me at the police station and did not want to accept my complaint,” he explained.
“He was arrested because he turned himself in. They did not examine the car or his house to find the gun he used to shoot. My family is very worried,” he concluded. The case was filed with the Public Prosecutor’s Office No. 2 of Morón.
