The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, was received on Tuesday in Nouakchott by the Mauritanian Prime Minister, Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, during his working visit to Mauritania.
On this occasion, Mr. Attaf conveyed greetings from his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, to the Mauritanian Prime Minister and discussed with him ways to maintain and strengthen the dynamism that characterizes the cooperation relations between the two countries, as prelude to the next steps of bilateral cooperation.
During this meeting, the two sides discussed the follow-up to the implementation of the results of the 19th session of the Grand Joint Commission for Algerian-Mauritanian Cooperation held in Nouakchott last September, including the intensification of bilateral cooperation in social -economic, cultural and scientific areas, and the need to work to mobilize the human and material resources necessary to accelerate the implementation of joint projects between the two fraternal countries.
The two sides also discussed preparations for upcoming bilateral events, including the Oversight Committee meeting and the holding of the 20th session of the Grand Joint Commission scheduled for Algiers.
