The early morning of this May 1st, the firefighter Ramiro García, who was part of the Volunteer Fire Department and in compliance with his principles and love for his work, will be remembered in a car accident when he was in his ambulance, to pay Help in a car accident.
The first information about the tragic mishap was provided by the lifeguards, who said that García was going to cover an incident, with the lights on, siren open and honking to warn drivers that he was going to an emergency.
But the lights went out, at kilometer 119 of the Inter-American Highway, when a trailer did not respect traffic signals and collided head-on with García’s unit.
At the place where the accident occurred, the road is being repaired and this caused the driver of the heavy vehicle to drive in the opposite lane.
Due to the weight and magnitude of the force of the truck, the ambulance in which Ramiro García, 58, was driving, was destroyed, while the paramedic was trapped between the irons of the car.

The people who were close to the place immediately alerted the Departmental Municipal Firefighters, who had to use special equipment to rescue Ramiro, who had already died due to the severity of the blow.

The health professional had 28 years of service. He started his career in the fire department when he stopped working for a mine. His goal was always to want to provide quality care and offer his work to others, say those who knew him.
During the years that he worked for the fire brigade, he worked his way up the ranks, becoming the honorary president of the local frogmen section. It was his experience and his help to others that earned him the title.
“The truth is that he was a man like few others, very responsible, he was always willing to help and he collaborated a lot with the community members. He wanted to give them the best service, ”commented the commander of the 47th Volunteer Fire Company, Edgar Mauricio Coroxom Tuc.
Ramiro García was alone in the unit, because in the town there are few firefighters who work in the unit.
Among the anecdotes that Commander Coroxom told, he highlighted that García was a dog lover and always bought them food. The canines were waiting for him, because they already knew when he would show up for work.
“There is a black dog who will surely miss him, because she was the first to wait for García at the entrance to the station, she just gave her the sweet bread and she left, but now there will be no one to give her,” Coroxom said. .
Ramiro García’s body will be veiled at his home, later he will go out to be honored at the fire station, to direct him to the local pantheon.
Garcia had three children, two men and a woman, all of whom were of legal age.
