Russian shelling throughout Kherson has left 16 people dead and nearly 24 wounded today. The figures were confirmed by the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office.
Moscow troops began “massive shelling” of the city of Kherson and other areas in the region this morning, a Telegram post said.
About 12 people were killed in the regional capital and about 22 people “received injuries of various degrees”.
The prosecutor’s office said three workers were killed when a “power engineer brigade” came under Russian fire between the villages of Stepanivka and Muzikyvka. A man was also killed in an attack in Darivka, another village in the Kherson region, he added.
Sky News cannot independently verify battlefield reports. The Kherson region is partially occupied by Moscow forces and Russia has repeatedly attacked the city of Kherson from these areas.
