So Ron DeSantis announced his candidacy, which means it’s time for:
“Ron DeSantis at just the right time.”
Don’t applaud. That was terrible. I told Gene, “Make it bad.” Mission accomplished. That’s how it happened during an audio stream with Elon Musk on Twitter. But there were technical glitches that prevented the Florida governor from speaking for about 25 minutes, prompting Biden’s press team to ask, “Can you somehow put us in touch with those glitches?” Meanwhile, Musk has already dealt with those responsible…
But the conversation eventually got going and lasted about an hour. We now pause to listen to everything.
RON DESANTIS: Well, I’m running for president of the United States.

OK, that’s enough. That’s not the first time I promised an hour and finished in seconds. I do not know what that means. Later, Ron came by shortly after to chat with our friend Trey Gowdy, despite their disagreements about what constitutes a good haircut. You know, I’m starting to think Trey doesn’t go to a hairdresser, he just sticks his head in the world’s largest pencil sharpener. But I wonder, Ron, do we know if the country is on the wrong track?
RON DESANTIS, MAY 24: We know that the country is on the wrong track. We see it with our eyes. We feel it in our bones. We see that the line is being crossed. We see crime ravaging the cities. We see the federal government making it harder for families to make ends meet and we have a president who is a lethargic ship.

Hmm, “listless?” That is so untrue. Biden has a lot of lists. Look at these. I’ll read it: put on shoes after socks. Don’t put on socks after shoes. Only shake hands with real people. The person named Jill is your wife. But DeSantis makes it clear that our country is off track — something Biden and his friends will never admit, even if trains literally go off track. Joe treats derailments the way he treats unplanned grandchildren: as if they never happened.
But Ron better be ready to mess around because the media and the Dems see him as not only a huge threat, but an evil. And their mouths foam like Kevin Spacey watching a Little League game. I do not get it. Vanity Fair came up with this headline: “Ron DeSantis will formally announce his 2024 bid for Elon Musk as David Duke was apparently unavailable.”
So really, a reference to David Duke, he’s almost as irrelevant as Vanity Fair. But that shows how all those white supremacists are the fabric of the imagination, when the only one the media can actually point to is a loser from decades ago.
And failed presidential candidates also participate. This old clam tweeted, “Ron DeSantis’ ultra-MAGA Florida is not safe for people of color, LGBTQ+ people, or even billion dollar companies.” Is it safe? I bet it’s probably safer than allegedly being a former friend of Hillary’s.
So it’s more of the same lie that dates back to Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law. Remember when DeSantis signed? Do you remember the “Don’t Say Gay” law, but hold on:

ACTOR 2: Don’t say gay, Bill.
ACTOR 1: Oh.
Actually, that never happened. The bill could have read, “Florida residents get free rainbow bikinis with penis pouches and a box of Bud Light,” and the media would still say it’s anti-gay because their strategy, as always, is to demonize. Look, even if you think Ron is Trump without the drama, it doesn’t matter. Using the media, they create the drama and then it blames you. It’s like setting their own hair on fire and then calling you the arsonist.

So it’s stupid to think it will be less contentious with a non-Trump candidate. They are called evil from the start, which allows them to commit all crimes. Hell, they even arrange an election when they fight Hitler.

Here’s today’s CNN headline: “Why DeSantis Is As Dangerous As Trump – Or More.” You see that? And here we were told that Trump was an existential threat. So is DeSantis an additional existential threat? How is that possible? Not only is he evil, he’s doubly secret, super-MAGA evil. Poor CNN, just like Jeffrey Toobin, they screwed themselves. If you’re not saying DeSantis is as bad as Trump, then that’s an endorsement for DeSantis. And if you say he’s worse than Trump, you’re exposing your past hysteria for what it was, ********. So expect more from this.
THE BREAKFAST CLUB: Obviously Ron DeSantis is a white supremacist, right?
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I don’t want to dislike you. I can’t help it… Why do you hate people of color? What’s wrong with American history? What’s wrong with gays?
JOY REID: This is not a freedom agenda. This is a do what Ron DeSantis tells you to do, the state owns your agenda.
As you can see, the demonization is on and sprinting like a trans girl on a high school track. And you don’t have to be Trump or even White. Look at new candidate Tim Scott.
JOY BEHAR: He’s one of these guys who, you know, he’s like Clarence Thomas, Black Republican, who believes in pulling your own boots rather than, to me, understanding the systemic racism faced by African Americans in this country and other minorities. He doesn’t get it. Neither does Clarence, which is why they’re Republicans.
Well, thanks for explaining to us what it’s like to be black in America, you 80-year-old white witch who once wore a black face. Oh, yes, she’s fugly no matter the color. But you have to have real guts to be a white woman lecturing black men about being black. Maybe.
The bottom line, if the GOP has plans to win, they need to come out swinging like Larry Kudlow in nude volleyball. What an image huh?

But don’t pretend that when Trump is no longer in the picture, those Never-Trumpers will just return to the group, no. They still hate you for loving Trump.
So if you’re hoping for a calmer election, don’t kid yourself. They want to destroy you just as much as the candidates. Maybe they want you dead so they can count on you voting Democrat.
