Today the San Pedro Sula Metropolitan Health Region is carrying out a vaccination day against influenza and covid.
This week the admission of two children aged 7 months and 4 years to the intensive care unit of the Honduran Institute of Social Security IHSS in San Pedro Sula was reported.
This is due to complications of influence and concerns the authorities that by the second quarter of 2023 the coverage of this and other diseases such as polio and measles is extremely low.

That is why today they are being vaccinated with the pediatric covid vaccine (5-11 years), monovalent covid vaccine from 12 years of age, bivalent pfizer covid vaccine for people over 40 years of age and influenza vaccine for children over 6 months of age, adults seniors, pregnant women and people with underlying diseases of all ages. To get vaccinated against influenza you do not take care of anything, just volunteer to contribute to public health.
It is also being dewormed. The day will be attending until 7:00 pm. It is worth mentioning that there is no covid vaccine available for children under 5 years of age.
