Foreign ministers from the BRICS countries met in Cape Town with South Africa hosting fellow members Brazil, Russia, India and China.

The group started somewhat informally in 2006 and South Africa joined four years later. But in today’s more polarized geopolitical world, the BRICS club has become more important.
