A 25-year-old woman in Chicago has been killed in a shooting that left six others injured. local reports.
The fatal shooting occurred around 1 a.m. at the 4800 block of West Iowa Street in Austin’s West Side neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Officers arrived on the scene and found the 25-year-old woman unconscious on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the shots were fired at a crowd of people celebrating the life of a man who died in a road accident four years ago. FOX32Chicago reported.

There was an altercation before several violators began firing, Deputy Chief Adnardo Gutierrez told reporters on the scene.

Two other gunshot victims were a 17-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both of whom were shot in the leg, police said. A 28-year-old man was also shot in the leg and has been hospitalized.
Two 29-year-old men were also injured in the shooting, one of whom suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and arm.

The sixth injured victim, a 28-year-old woman, was shot in the ear, police said.

None of the victim’s names were immediately released.
As of Sunday morning, no suspects were yet in custody.
Police said no additional details are available at this time as the investigation continues.
