A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death this morning in the heart of the Santa Fe city of Rafaela, a few meters from a dance club from which both the victim and the attacker left, police spokesmen reported.
The victim was identified as Cristian Damián Benítez, who was found seriously injured at the corner of Sarmiento and Alvear, in the heart of Rafaela, around 5 today.
According to witness testimonies, Benítez was inside a nightclub in the area and shortly before he was attacked, he left, apparently after having an argument with another young man.
On the way out, the fight continued to escalate and the murderer stabbed him a couple of times in the chest area. The attacker was able to escape.
The spokesmen indicated that Benítez, who suffered at least one stab wound in the chest area, was treated on the southwest corner of Alvear and Sarmiento streets by paramedics from the 107 emergency service, who tried to revive him without success.
