This Saturday Alejandro Fernández offered a show at the Domo Care of the Guadalupe Expo that was held in the state of Monterrey, Mexico, in which he was accompanied by his son Alex Fernández, who also performed several soon-to-be-released songs.
At the end of the recital, which lasted just over two hours and started with “Tantita Pena”, the son of the late Vicente Fernández spoke to the media, revealing details to the Miliennio platform about what he thinks about the lying down corridos and if he is afraid of this new wave.
“Everyone is going to lie down and I am in the Mexican regional; so, fortunately, I don’t have to be scared or scared at all, and I do have to put the name of Mexican music all over the world”, pointed out “El Potrillo”.
“Lying Love”
The statements of Alejandro Fernández are well supported. And it is that in 2021, the singer collaborated with Natanael Cano, one of the most successful artists of the movement of the corridos lying down and an indisputable pioneer.
“Amor Tumbado” is a solo song by Natanael Cano that was released at the end of 2019 as a promotional single from his third studio album entitled “Mi Nuevo Yo”, and months later it was re-released in collaboration with Alejandro Fernández.
The sound of this new version is a hybrid between the corrido tumbado and mariachi, a fusion that attracted audiences and fans of “El Nata” and “El Potrillo” since it bears the influences of both artists.
The video for the song was released on April 15, 2021 and has more than 20 million views on YouTube.
