A video from New York City shows a woman lunging at a mother and her baby in a park, dragging another woman by her hair and knocking over sidewalk tables in a Sunday public meltdown.
When she focuses on the woman holding a baby in Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park, onlookers gasp, the video shows.
The incident lasted about 30 minutes, according to FreedomNewsTV, which provided the video, before police arrived and arrested the East Ninth Street woman.
“You don’t go around beating up strange people in the street, like seven people,” a man is heard say as police lead the suspect to the back of a waiting ambulance. “Pulling their hair, dragging them everywhere.”

The same man told the officers, “She can’t get out anymore. Not anymore.”
You can hear her snap, “No one died b—-, no one.”
The video also showed the woman taking a newspaper away from a man sitting in the park, throwing someone else’s drink on the sidewalk, flipping sidewalk tables and hurling trash over a fence.

An NYPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that around 4:20 p.m. Sunday, police received multiple 911 calls related to the fracas.
“It was reported that the female approached several individuals, screaming and throwing glass and various objects,” the spokesperson said. “Officers and paramedics responded and the female was transported to Bellevue Hospital for examination.”

“Probably a repeat offender who isn’t getting the care she needs,” says Joseph Giacalone, a former NYPD sergeant who teaches at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. “Another example of the system not working, so the police still have to deal with it.”
That system needs to be “fixed,” and mental health patients need better treatment, he said.

The chaos in Manhattan comes as New Yorkers become increasingly frustrated with street crime and a perception that city leaders are failing to tackle it.
Last week, prosecutors in Queens charged a Kew Gardens man with dozens of gun charges after he allegedly shot and killed a would-be robber who approached him in a driveway around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Charles Foehner, 65, has not been charged with murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old repeat offender Cody Gonzalez, who approached him with an object in his hand and demanded money and cigarettes, police said.
However, the senior citizen reportedly had dozens of firearms in his home, including unlicensed handguns, and was charged after police issued a search warrant.

Gonzalez’s death comes weeks after Jordan Neely, a 30-year-old homeless man with a long criminal record and a history of mental illness, died after an altercation on an F train subway when a bystander held him down with a chokehold.

A 24-year-old Marine Corps veteran named Daniel Penny has been charged with manslaughter in Neely’s death.
