The future of Elián Angel Valenzuela (23) – better known as L- Gante – is still uncertain. Only on Monday will his lawyer, Alejandro Cipolla, request his release as part of a package of requests, all aimed at mitigating the accusations against him.
However, this Friday the defense achieved a small victory: the judge in the case authorized, and gave a period of 48 hours, for the musician to be transferred from the Quilmes police station (where he is currently staying) to a section near General Rodriguez, where his family lives.
“We believe that being so far from his family was an aggravation of the detention conditions. The judge agreed with us on this point and possibly he will be transferred to the West Zone over the weekend,” Cipolla told Clarín.

The fact for which L-Gante is detained The complaint was made on May 27 by Gastón Torres, a neighbor of the Valenzuela family and father of friends of the musician, who lives in the Bicentenario neighborhood of General Rodríguez, in the west of the conurbano.
That day, outside the “Río” bowling alley in Moreno, there was a fight with several “members of the so-called Mafilia”, the group of friends and musicians to which L-Gante belongs. A series of band that moves en bloc to accompany it.
After the conflict, the police arrived. One of L-Gante’s friends called him to ask for help and for fear that they would take him into custody. According to the complaint, members of that same group went to his house and “physically assaulted both him and his family” and then “a white BMW drove by Valenzuela passed, lowered the window, pointed a gun at him and forced Torres to get in the car”.
A few meters away, a neighbor of the musician, who had participated in the first discussion with L-Gante’s friends, was also intercepted and forced to get into the same vehicle, as confirmed in the complaint.
Torres remained “23 minutes captive, until L-Gante received a call in which they assured him that his friends had been released by the Police and he released the victims,” said Leonardo Sigal, the lawyer representing the complainants.
Also two other people who denounced the musician for similar episodes that occurred in 2021 and 2022. Both cases are on trial.
The complaint was confirmed by security cameras, by the geolocation of cell phones and by the statements of the police officers, witnesses and relatives of the victims.
With this evidence, the prosecutor’s office requested the arrest of Valenzuela, which validated the request and ordered three raids last Tuesday, one of them in sector 1 of the Club Banco Provincia gated community, where the musician was finally arrested.
In the proceedings, the BMW car and L-Ghent’s cell phone were seized.
