Two people dead and a third seriously injured left a new shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Villeda Morales neighborhood of San Pedro Sula.
The deceased were preliminarily identified as Anuar Fabricio Sánchez Chinchilla, 27 years old, the other young man only identified as Yhony, and the third person (injured) has not been identified.
The shooting occurred inside a canteen where the three men were. Anuar was the housemate of the owner of the tobacconist’s and the other two people shared alcoholic beverages, according to what he reported.
“I warned him not to be there; the little business is theirs, he helps that girl with those four children. I told him not to be there, that he should go away, ”said Doña Angélica Chinchilla.
With some calmness she said: “I have to be calm because he is already dead, what can I do? It hurts me, he is my son, my heart hurts, but what am I going to do if I told him to leave here, not to be with that girl, “said the woman.
Anuar died inside the house where the canteen works and the other person died on the way to the Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital. Regarding the third person, his state of health is unknown.
On average, between eight and nine homicides are registered daily in the country, according to the figures handled by the Online Police Statistics System (Sepol).
