Police are investigating a deadly shooting outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, BC, east of Vancouver on Sunday night.
Surrey RCMP issued a statement confirming that its officers were on site at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara at 120 Street.
Police have not confirmed the identity of the victim, who they said was an adult male found in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. The killing took place in the car park of the gurdwara, according to a Surrey RCMP statement at 10pm on Sunday.
At 10:30 PM, there was a heavy police presence with more than 100 people at the temple. Police had cordoned off both entrances.

Police administered first aid, but the man died at the scene.
The region’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) will work with Surrey RCMP to investigate the murder and is “currently in the evidence-gathering phase,” speaking to witnesses and seeking videos or other evidence.
