“What happened today has to do with the implementation of the court’s decision. The agreement should continue, but there should be a reflection on their behavior towards Albanian institutions. With the actions they took today, they showed that they are not ready to implement the laws in Albania. We have not thought about a deal breaker, we will protect them as long as we have taken it over. The prosecutor’s office has filed several criminal cases for this, so it is not my competence to determine what crimes they have committed. The prosecutor’s office is investigating a violation of the law, so you should ask the prosecutor’s office. They have carried out political activities, published political newspapers, but this has been the subject of an ongoing discussion with them.
We must make it clear to the Council in Paris that there was no violence at any time. I don’t know where they came to this conclusion. The opposite has happened, they should be clear that the court’s decisions are not opposed, but implemented. They did not even accept to read the court’s decision, the director was called and they said that they did not accept to read the decision, but made contradictory decisions. That declaration of violence must be retracted because there was no violence. If you found a policeman who touched someone, they can call it violence. Every decision of the courts and every aspect of the state must be respected. Regarding the partners, the Americans are not part of the agreement, they are our closest strategic partners and we are on the same page as far as the implementation of international law and the law in Albania is concerned, you can be sure of that.”
