A Florida man allegedly stole “personal care items” from a target Monday night, and the embarrassing arrest was all captured on bodycam, local police say.
According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the store in Palm Coast, about a half hour north of Daytona Beach, about 6 p.m. regarding a theft.

The suspect was driving a white pickup that matched the vehicle description given by damage control officers; the Flagler Sheriff’s Communications Section told deputies that the car’s owner, David Romero, had a warrant for his Putnam County arrest for third-degree grand larceny.
When Romero was about to reverse into the parking lot, they stopped and told him to get out of the car.
Bodycam footage posted to the sheriff’s Facebook page shows the tense interaction.
“Get away from the truck,” a deputy yells.
Another deputy sheriff then orders Romero in Spanish:
“Anda por atras! Ven para aca!(Walk back! Come here!)

As they placed the defendant in their patrol car, “a pink vibrating device fell out of Romero’s pants,” the FB post says.
It was later revealed that Romero stole the sex toy from Target, which turned up surveillance video of the suspect “stuffing various personal care items into brown shapewear he picked up at the store.”
Other pinched goods included Trojan and SKYN condoms, Hello Cake lube and Promescent, a “climax control spray” for men, all of which were later found in his car, police say, adding that Romero did have some had paid for groceries at the self-scan. checkout before leaving.
Romero explained deputis that he was going to use the sex aids on his wife because he couldn’t spend Father’s Day with her, the police report said.
Romero, who is also charged in the Putnam County case, was arrested and faces one charge of petty larceny and four counts of first-degree larceny for property valued between $100 and $300.
Romero was booked into Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, held on $3,000 bond.
“Our message is loud and clear to criminals and fugitives,” said Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly. “If you set foot in Flagler County as a fugitive or to commit a crime, we will find and arrest you.”
