An 11-year-old girl and a woman were shot dead on Wednesday night in the Tepusteca community, Olanchito municipality, Yoro.
Preliminarily, the victims have been identified as Wendy Alfaro (11 years old) and María de Jesús Bautista, the latter was taken to a care center alive, but died.
It turned out that the murdered minor was the granddaughter of the adult female who also lost her life.
In the violent event, a man was injured, whose identity is unknown until now, however, it is known that he was mobilized with serious injuries to the Aníbal Murillo Escobar hospital in Olanchito.
According to reports, a subject aboard a motorcycle arrived at the house where the now deceased resided and shot them without saying a word until they were dead.
After committing the double crime, the criminal fled the scene.
The National Police mounted several operations in the area and captured a suspect in the crime who goes by the name of Edwin Armando Mejía Chirinos (22 years old).
