Elvana Gjata: Yes, I had. Actually this is very interesting because I always wanted to touch this part. There were moments when I felt so tired and bored and down, I couldn’t find the strength anymore, but it’s strange that at that very moment I said to myself: no way. Stand up and move on. And what I say is very sincere.

Elvana told about the things that annoy her in Albania, so much so that she is thinking of leaving the country and the main reason is the prejudices she feels in society. The mentality bothers me, especially regarding the position of women in Albania, said the artist.

Prime Minister Edi Rama: How do you feel here?

Elvana Gjata: When I’m here, there are things that annoy me, I say I’ll leave.

Prime Minister Edi Rama: What bothers you? What do you like and what annoys you the most about being here?

Elvana Gjata: Yes, I am not free. Here I am not free to do the things I want

Prime Minister Edi Rama: Why what are you going to do if we are preventing you?

Elvana Gjata: I’m jumping uphill, but in the middle of the road. What can I do, I will be judged. They will say, Elvana thought.

Prime Minister Edi Rama: How to jump up in the middle of the road?

Elvana Gjata: To jump, to dance. Can I do it?

Prime Minister Edi Rama: You can jump uphill in the middle of the road without any problem, and they will even say let’s try it, who knows. You are not really free in the sense that it bothers you at certain moments that they recognize you and come and say ‘let’s take a picture, give me an autograph, kiss you a little or?

Elvana Gjata: This is known, it is also this, but I am used to this. The things that annoy me have to do with the mentality, I think, many things still kill me, which are related to the position of women in Albania. These things annoy me.
