Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu visited the forward command post of the country’s Western forces group on Monday.

“Shoigu paid special attention to the organization of the comprehensive supply of armies participating in a special military operation and the creation of conditions for the safe deployment of personnel,” the statement said.
The defense minister also praised the effectiveness of Western forces in detecting and defeating the opponent’s equipment and personnel.
This is the first time the defense minister has appeared since the canceled Wagner rebellion aimed at overthrowing Shoygu.
The paramilitary group Wagner accused Russian forces of attacking its fighters on Friday, and the group later moved from Ukraine to Rostov-on-Don, Russia. In response, the Federal Security Service in Russia initiated a criminal case against Wagner for “armed insurrection”. Russian President Vladimir Putin described Wagner’s uprising as “treason”.
