The assailant was pointing a gun at the young woman from behind. She was shot twice, in her leg and her shoulder. He was hospitalized.
Juan Alberto Reina (39), a personal trainer, could not digest the break in his relationship with his ex-partner, 29 years old. That’s why he decided to make a drastic decision. Everything could end in a femicide, in the Saavedra neighborhood, but the Police intervened in time and prevented it. The attacker ended up hospitalized, with two bullets, in one leg and shoulder.
The event was recorded after 11:30 this Thursday in Superí at 4200. Both live one block from the place, in different houses. The sequence was recorded by a security camera and shows how the young woman -whose identity is being preserved- walks down the street and is closely followed by a man.
Seconds later, a patrol car arrives and the first four shots are heard. According to sources in the case, the attacker shot the victim twice without hitting him and the agents fired two more shots into the air to repel him.

Immediately, the victim appears on the recording running along the side of the vehicle while being chased by the assailant, who continues to point the gun at him.
At that moment, one of the officers from the Rapid Intervention Deployment Division (DIR) of the City Police shot him twice. The bullets hit the attacker’s leg and shoulder.
According to sources informed the City Police, the woman had been a partner of the man, who had been harassing and threatening her in recent days.
He chased his ex-partner to kill her in Saavedra and was shot and arrested in the middle of the street.
The police intervened in the case when they saw the victim walking away from her ex-partner screaming, while the man pointed a firearm at her head.
At the scene they seized a DV brand revolver with four cartridges in the magazine and two pods served. Also, the semi-automatic weapon used by the agent.
“The event happened at 11:40 a.m. when we received a call from the City Police in which there had been a shooting in the vicinity of Parque Saavedra. So we immediately sent a medical motorcycle and an ambulance because we did not know the number of wounded that were in the place”, confirmed Alberto Crescenti, head of SAME.

In dialogue with the TN channel, the doctor confirmed that the attacker was transferred to the Pirovano Hospital, and that he presented injuries resulting from two bullet impacts: “He has a clavicle fracture and in the second impact there was gluteal penetration,” Crescenti said.
The head of SAME also confirmed that the young woman attacked was transferred with a “strong nervous breakdown” to the Zubizarreta Hospital.
