EXCLUSIVE: Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis launched her nationwide Mamas for DeSantis initiative Thursday with a video arguing that her husband, the Republican presidential nominee, Gov. Ron DeSantis, “will do for America what he did for us in Florida.”
Casey DeSantis will formally announce the campaign launch Thursday night in Iowa along with Republican Governor Kim Reynolds.
“In America, we’ve seen a lot and endured enough,” DeSantis says in the video. “We’ve been forced into silence, into obedience, told to trust science. We’ve been told to deny the truth, to back down and look the other way.”
“But enough is enough,” she continues. “If you come after our kids, we’ll fight back. Because we won’t do anything to protect our kids.”

Casey DeSantis says in the video that her husband will take his Florida agenda to the national level, focusing on economics, crime, education and parental rights. She also responded to a comment by President Biden that sparked backlash last month after he said in a video to mark LGBTQ Pride Month, “These are our kids. These are our neighbors. Not someone else’s kids; they are all our children.”

“They’re not yours,” Florida’s first lady responds in the video. “We will not allow you to exploit their innocence to advance your agenda. We are no longer silent. We are united. And we have finally found our warrior.”
Casey DeSantis first launched Florida’s statewide Mamas for DeSantis on behalf of her husband during the 2022 gubernatorial election, where he sailed to a 20-point reelection victory.
