Former president Donald Trump claimed he would bar “markers” from entering the US in an awkward oversight on the campaign trail on Friday.
Trump vowed to take action as he outlined his platform for 2024 before correcting his mistake during a speech at a rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
“I will also order our administration to bar all communists and markers from entry,” Trump said.
“Look, we have Marxists, fascists, communists, they are pouring into our country – we are going to deny them entry to our (country). Now the only problem is, what about all the ones we already have that happen to be politicians, okay.
Twitter users wondered if Sharpies were “welcome” after the gaffe and pointed out Trump’s use of another word in the speech that doubles as a not-safe-for-work slang termalso.
