According to the incident report, the Agusta AW189 helicopter underwent an engine and system test at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, which is a normal procedure after the aircraft has undergone scheduled maintenance.
During the test, an accident occurred before the helicopter took off. The weather was cloudy at the time, but no disturbance was noted.
On board were three department personnel and four maintenance personnel. All were treated at the scene by medical staff from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang and Universiti Malaya Medical Center.
