Have you ever tried to send a longer video or a presentation and were warned that the file is too large to send?
Regardless of the device you use, most communication platforms such as texts, emails and other applications put a file size limit, preventing you from sending larger files. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. Here are my tricks for sending large files on any device.
To send large files on iPhone via AirDrop
You can send large files via iPhone in a number of different ways, and the choice of which method depends on whether or not the person on the receiving end also has an iPhone.
If both parties have an iPhone and are nearby, here’s how to send a large file via AirDrop. Via AirDrop you can send photos, videos, files or documents and more.

How to send large files on iPhone via AirDrop
Make sure both parties are close to each other and that Bluetooth is turned on. Open the files you are sending to the other person on your iPhone and tap the share icon. Tap the AirDrop icon. Select the person you want to AirDrop the file to. If you don’t see them, make sure you’ve both set up AirDrop to allow anyone to send to you. Follow these steps to check that:
Go to Settings > General > Airdrop > Everyone for 10 minutes
Once you tap on the other person’s name or iPhone, they will receive a pop-up notification asking if they want to accept or decline the file you shared. When he or she taps Accept, the file is saved
The location where it is saved depends on the file. If it’s a photo or video, it usually goes to the Photos app. If it’s a different type of file, the person receiving the file will choose where to save the file on their phone.
