Honduran man kills his own son in Puebla, Mexico

A Honduran man identified as Juan José Ortega Amador was captured after allegedly killing his own son in Puebla, Mexico, Honduran authorities reported.

Héctor Amador, Honduran consul in Mexico, reported that the Honduran is in the custody of the Aztec Mexican authorities, who accuse him of three crimes.

Juan José Ortega Amador is accused of qualified homicide, qualified injuries and family violence, since according to the Mexican authorities, he also assaulted one of his daughters and his wife.

Ortega Amador’s roommate was identified as Martha Yadira Aguilar Méndez. According to Amador, the entire Honduran family had embarked on a trip seeking to reach the United States.

The Honduran parricide is under police custody in the Criminal Orality and Execution Court of Puebla awaiting the judicial hearing. The body of the deceased will be repatriated and it is expected that the two people identified will also return to Honduras.
