Finnes’ lawyer Thomas Skjelbred says he is in discussions with the stock exchange and the banks about releasing all data about the stock transactions that Finnes carried out when his wife was prime minister.
Skjelbred claims that Finnes has said all along that he wants to contribute to transparency about his share transactions – where relevant and if Økocrim or other public bodies want it.
– We have a good dialogue with Euronext (VPS), Nordnet and Sbanken/DNB about the release of all relevant data on Sindre Finnes’ share transactions, says lawyer Thomas Skjelbred of Elden Advokatfirma.
According to Skjelbred, Finnes wants to be open about the information “relevant to the assessment of Erna Solberg’s competence”.
Will take time
But as we have been careful to say all along, it will take time – despite what some in the media say, says the lawyer.
The article continues below the advertisementEuronext, Nordnet and Sbanken/DNB will initially provide extracts of their data to Elden Advokatfirma for the period October 2013-October 2021, which will in any case show the following:
In which securities Sindre Finnes has invested (Companies/Products) How many securities Sindre Finnes has owned (Volume/Number) What the market value of these securities has been (Price)End of next week
– As soon as the extract is available, it will be made available to the Control and Constitution Committee of Storting. That probably won’t happen until the end of next week, Skjelbred says.
The lawyer adds that they cannot now say with certainty what data the report will contain.
– But Finnes will not withhold any information deemed relevant by the Storting Control and Constitution Committee in assessing Erna Solberg’s competence.
No information about individual traders
Skjelbred emphasizes that they will not provide detailed information about individual transactions. Finnes considers it personal information that is not relevant to assess Erna Solberg’s competence.
– Therefore, Finnes will not share such information about this or comment in the media, even if it becomes available to him.
Finnes carried out more than 3,000 share transactions while his wife Erna Solberg (H) was prime minister. Finnes has admitted that he was not honest with his wife, and Solberg has admitted that she was incompetent in some matters as prime minister.(Conditions)Copyright Dagens Næringsliv AS and/or our suppliers.
