Minnesota gun proprietor charged after girlfriend’s son, 4, fatally shoots youthful brother

A Minnesota man has been charged with manslaughter and youngster endangerment after a 4-year-old boy picked up the person’s handgun and by chance shot and killed his 2-year-old brother.

Colton Mammenga, 33, of the southern Minnesota city of Welcome, was charged Thursday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

The taking pictures occurred Oct. 15 as Mammenga was in a shifting pickup truck with the 2 boys and their mom, who was in a relationship with Mammenga. A felony grievance mentioned a Martin County deputy pulled the truck over to the shoulder of a street and Mammenga bought out holding the injured youngster, Matthew Alshaikhnasser.

The boy had a head wound and died two days later at a hospital.

The costs say the 4-year-old instructed a deputy he bought the gun from the entrance seat when the boys had been left alone whereas Mammenga and the mom went inside to get one thing.
