Some social media customers on X have come for the pink and yellow backdrop at Self-importance Honest’s 2024 Oscar Celebration, complaining that the colours remind them of the McDonald’s fast-food chain.
Scores of stars walked the carpet on the journal’s Academy Awards after-party, one of the unique invitations in Hollywood, from Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Sofia Vergara to Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez.
However as an alternative of extra restrained colour palettes seen in recent times, together with 2023’s blue-and-silver combo, this 12 months’s Self-importance Honest Oscar Celebration featured far more blaring hues that share the colours of McDonald’s fries packaging.

The response to Self-importance Honest’s Oscars Celebration backdrop follows criticism that erupted throughout and after the 2023 Emmy Awards in January. Chrissy Teigen in an Instagram story wrote that she was “begging award exhibits to have higher trying step and repeats” and lots of social media customers posted that the big lettering saying Emmys and Fox was distracting and clashed with stars’ outfits.
